Diya Systems Hosts Successful TejoDiya Celebration

LOUISVILLE – January 10, 2013- GlowTouch Technologies, an award winning IT services firm providing custom application development and technology integration services to businesses of all sizes around the globe, is pleased to announce that its development hub, Diya Systems, in Mangalore, India, recently held its annual cultural event, TejoDiya 2013 on December 28th.

TejoDiya was initiated in 2010 and celebrates honoring eminent personalities from various fields in arts and vocation. The event is held in conjunction with the GlowTouch Technologies’ Trust, the GT Foundation.

The GT Foundation was created in 2004 in an effort to promote the wide-reaching benefits of corporate social responsibility. The foundation is actively involved in addressing the most challenging problems facing today’s Indian society, including domestic violence, poverty, disease, hunger, and more.

GlowTouch Technologies CEO, Dr. Ravichandran, Managing Trustee of the GT Foundation, led the event and had the privilege of honoring three renowned artists from the fields of education and music. The three honorees were Mr. Ranga Pai, an accomplished tabla and violin musician, Mr. Anand Kumar, an Indian mathematician and columnist best known for his Super 30 program, and Master Aman Rehman, a 12-year old who is the world’s youngest college lecturer and animator.

On this occasion, Dr. C.R. Kamath launched a new initiative by the Karuna Kirana Foundation under the aegis of GT Foundation to provide Corneal Transplantation, also known as Corneal Grafting or Keratoplasty, to deserving people who otherwise would not be able to afford the surgery.

During the event, the foundation congratulated Master Raghavendra Bhat, a 14 year old mathematics, science and music enthusiast best known as the Math Magician from Madhava Kripa English Medium Higher Primary School in Manipal. Master Danon Saldanha and Master Moideen Thazman, physically challenged excelled sportspersons from the St. Agnes Special School in Mangalore, were also commended on their great achievement of winning the silver medal at the Special Olympics Asia Pacific Games in Australia.

The audience witnessed exhilarating performances by one of the honorees, Mr. Ranga Pai and also Ms. Pranamya Suri and Ms. Spruha Shah, Kuchipudi dancers from the US.

The chief guests who graced the occasion were Mr. Vinay Kumar Sorake, Honorable Minister of Urban Development and District in-charge, Udupi and Padmashri D.R. Kaarthikeyan, President Age Care India and Former Director CBI.
