GlowTouch Technologies Sponsors Louisville’s Newly Launched “iHub”
LOUISVILLE – October 15, 2012 – GlowTouch Technologies, an award-winning IT services firm providing custom application development and technology integration services to businesses of all sizes around the globe, today announced it’s sponsorship of the recently unveiled iHub, a facility in Louisville for entrepreneurs and start-ups to bring their ideas to life.
iHub is a 2,200 sq. ft. space located at 204 S. Floyd St in Louisville and is part of Nucleus, the University of Louisville Foundations economic development arm. The mission behind iHub is to provide a low cost work space for entrepreneurs and start-ups to cultivate and develop their ideas. iHub strives to create an environment that encourages collaboration and support among fellow entrepreneurs.
The grand opening of the iHub, on October 9th was attended by state and federal officers including University of Louisville President James Ramsey, Governor Steve Beshear, Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer and Congressman John Yarmuth. “It’s not a big deal because we’re here,” Beshear said of himself, Yarmuth, and Fischer. “We’re here because this is a big deal.”
For $80 a month, entrepreneurs and start-ups renting space in the iHub will be furnished with desk space, access to wireless Internet service, conference rooms and phones, meeting rooms, a photocopier and the added benefit of working around other entrepreneurs who are building their business. GlowTouch is among the first to rent space in the iHub and is joined by seven other local businesses who have already signed leases.
