“Job fair is the best solution for unemployed”


Mangalore, Mar 21: Job Fair is one of the means to bring down unemployment in the Country. In this regard, the Government is also striving hard towards fulfilling the needs of the unemployed, declared the Hon’ble District in Charge Minister Mr. Krishna Palemar.

Govt. of Karnataka, Dakshina Kannada District, Human Resource Development Center, Dakshina Kannada, Mangalore (District Employment Exchange) in Joint Collaboration with Diya Systems (Mangalore) Pvt. Ltd. had organized a Job Fair in Karnataka Polytechnic which was inaugurated by Mr. Krishna Palemar.

Previously, the job fair which was organized by the Human Resource Development Center, Dakshina Kannada, Mangalore has registered around 15,000 unemployed candidates out of which only 2500 have been employed and 4000 are undergoing training.

Diya Systems has already provided employment opportunities to more than 800 candidates which is highly commendable. Mr. Palemar mentioned that the Government is ready to provide land and other amenities at a concessional rate to develop such Companies which are free from polluting the environment rather than to those who are polluting the environment besides lack in providing employment opportunities to the residents.

The function was presided by Dr. V. Ravichandran, Chief Executive Officer, Diya Systems. Other Chief Guests of the function were Mr. Yogish Bhat, MLA-Mangalore and President, Karnataka State Industry and Investment Development Corporation; Mr. U. T. Khader, MLA – Mangalore; Capt. Ganesh Karnik, MLA and Vice President, NRI; Mr. B. Nagaraj Shetty, President Karavali Development Authority; Mr. Kuppur Lingaiah, Financial Officer Mangalore University; Mrs. Indira Ravichandran, Managing Director Diya Systems and Major B. Vijay Kumar, Principal Karnataka Polytechnic.
