GlowTouch Technologies President Named a MOSAIC Award Honoree
LOUISVILLE – May 6, 2013 – GlowTouch Technologies, an award-winning IT services firm providing custom application development and technology integration services to businesses around the globe, announced today that GlowTouch president Vidya Ravichandran will receive a MOSAIC Award for outstanding contributions in the technology profession and community leadership in the Louisville area.
The MOSAIC Awards, an acronym for Multicultural Opportunities for Success and Achievement In our Community, were established by the Jewish Family & Career Services eight years ago as a way to highlight the importance of a vibrant multicultural community. JFCS was founded in 1908 and provides resettlement, employment opportunities, and acculturation services to people from a diverse array of backgrounds.
This year’s awards are being presented at the annual JFCS fundraising event held at The Henry Clay on May 30. Ravichandran is one of five recipients being recognized at the ceremony in addition to Paul Diaz, Riffat Hassan, Ph.D Dennis Ogbe, and Shlomit Schaal, M.D., Ph.D.
Under Ravichandran’s leadership, GlowTouch has received recognition from Inc 500/5000 as one of America’s fastest growing private companies, as well as from Business First as a Fast 50 company. Ravichandran garnered individual recognition from Business First when she was named the 2012 Business Leader of the Year.
Within both the local community and her home country of India, Ravichandran is dedicated to donating her personal time through various philanthropic means. Ravichandran serves as a board member of the GlowTouch Foundation, The Greater Louisville International Professionals (GLIP), and Walden School.
She initiated GlowTouch’s “Bright Lights” program to provide pro-bono website development services to qualifying non-profits that are making a positive difference in the community as well as sponsoring entrepreneurial weekends and cultural events in the Louisville area.
