GlowTouch Partners with Corporation Bank and Pilikula Golf Club to Sponsor Summer Golf Academy
MANGALORE – May 14, 2012 –GlowTouch Technologies, an award-winning IT services firm providing custom application development services to businesses around the world, announced its role in sponsoring a Summer Golf Academy in Mangalore, India. Partnering with Corporation Bank and the Pilikula Golf Club of Mangalore, GlowTouch conducted the Golf Academy for three weeks in April for children between the ages of 8 and 16.
GlowTouch Technologies CEO, Dr. V. Ravichandran, in conjunction with Mr. Ajai Kumar, the Chairman and Managing Director of Corporation Bank, engaged the Pilikula Golf Club of Mangalore to host the initiative, which saw nearly 60 children receive extensive training and coaching from local professionals.
The program was extremely well received by the Mangalore community as well as the Academy’s participants, and even resulted in three promising athletes being graciously offered a two-year coaching sponsorship by Corporation Bank.
Dr. Ravichandran has voiced his commitment to conducting the Summer Golf Academy on an annual basis and strongly believes the program can help cultivate the talent and abilities of aspiring golfers in Mangalore.
As an extension of their partnership with the Pilikula Golf Club of Mangalore and as part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility initiative, GlowTouch generously volunteered to redesign and re-launch the Golf Club’s website, which was recently launched at www.pilikulagolfclub.com.
