GlowTouch Technologies Donates to Flood Relief and Red Cross Efforts in Southern India

LOUISVILLE, KY and Mangalore, India / October 28, 2009GlowTouch Technologies, a Louisville, KY-based IT outsourcing services provider, recently launched a charitable campaign to help victims of the flood in the northern part of India’s Karnataka state that claimed 168 lives. The company has a development center located in Mangalore in Karnataka.

The management and staff of GlowTouch Technologies felt it their social responsibility to render support to the people of the flood-afflicted areas. In addition to the employees donating clothes and services through the Red Cross, GlowTouch CEO Dr. V. Ravichandran made a generous cash donation on behalf of GlowTouch for the flood victims. “We needed to take action, and I am grateful to GlowTouch employees for giving back to the affected people of Karnataka and Andhra during this time of need,” said Dr. Ravichandran. “It makes me very proud that every one of our employees has gone above and beyond to contribute in many different ways.”

The cash donation was given to Mr. Krishna Palemar, District in-charge Minister during a short gathering held at his office on October 8, 2009. Also present at the gathering were Mr. Shanker Bhat, Mayor of Mangalore; Mr. Ponnuraj, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, DK District and Dr. Subramanieshwara Rao, IPS, Superintendent of Police, DK District and Mr. Yogish Bhat, MLA of Mangalore.
