GlowTouch Technologies welcomes former President of India during Kentucky visit
LOUISVILLE, KY, April 15, 2010 – GlowTouch Technologies, a Louisville, KY-based IT services company, along with other local community and business leaders, welcomed His Excellency Dr. A.P. J. Abdul Kalam to Louisville, Kentucky on April 12, 2010 for a historic visit to the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
A renowned scientist, visionary leader and the 11th President of India, President Kalam gave a speech entitled the “U.S., India and the World: 2020 and Beyond” during which he shared the story of his presidency, his vision for transforming India into a fully developed global power by the year 2020, and the impact of that transformation on the rest of the world.
The formal banquet was held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel and was hosted by the Greater Louisville International Professionals, the India Community Foundation,
the University of Louisville, and the World Affairs Council of Kentucky and Southern Indiana.
Also during his visit, Dr. Kalam delivered a lecture entitled “Ignited Minds: Unleashing the Power of Youth” at the University of Louisville and met with university officials and students.
