Diya Systems Commemorates Anniversary with 10th Annual Day Celebration
LOUISVILLE – January 8, 2013- GlowTouch Technologies, an award-winning IT services firm providing custom application development and technology integration services to businesses around the globe, is pleased to announce that its development hub, Diya Systems, celebrated its 10th anniversary of Annual Day titled “JOSH-2013” on December 21st at the office campus located in Mangalore, India. The title encompassed the excitement, energy and enthusiasm around the number of sports and fun activities the employees participated in.
Dr. Ravichandran, CEO of Diya Systems, was instrumental in helping organize the event in conjunction with the JOSH Committee and other employees. Having the theme of TEAM work (Together Everyone Achieves More), the activities were aimed at promoting team collaboration and boosting team spirit. A few events employees took part in were tug of war, throw ball, volleyball, cricket and football tournament. Employees also participated in indoor games such as fruits and vegetables carving, carom, chess, and rangoli, a form of folk art using colored rice, sand, or dry flour to create a decorative design. Games were also arranged for the children of the Diya staff. The endless hours of planning, proper execution and months of preparation preceded the Annual Day celebrations.
The chief guest for the celebration was Padma Bhushan Dr. B. M. Hegde, a retired Vice Chancellor of the Manipal University and the Head of the Mangalore Chapter of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan. His message to employees was to make fun games and yoga a part of the work culture which will motivate you while helping maintain a more healthy and productive environment.
As part of the Annual Day celebration, a variety of entertainment programs were conceived and executed by the Diya staff. Besides the formal stage program, there were solo and group dances, solo and group singing, a skit and fashion show which captivated the audience. Employees from various teams such as App Dev, EIG, HostGator, and Parallels were also recognized with the Certificate of Excellence for the year 2013. JOSH 2013 concluded with a party where employees danced to the beats of a DJ.
“This year’s [Annual Day was] more vibrant and fun-filled, as our staff participated in larger numbers than the previous years with the spirit of showcasing their talent,” said Dr. Ravichandran “This 10th year celebration is a momentous occasion that recognizes our tremendous growth. When Annual Day began 10 years ago, we had around 80 team members, this year we celebrated with over 1,200.”
